The following is how we store our rope. It's simple to tie and untie, makes it easier to handle and carry longer rope and eliminates the possibility of rope tangling into itself or another beside it in the bag.

I like to use this method for keeping my rope in order. I usually braid the rope like this then group different lengths together on hooks.
